Day 37 is a happy day: After glueing the fretboard the body of this new sitar is complete. It’s baptised SBS-02, the follower of the prototype SBS-01.
Composed of a walnut-soundboard a honduras mahony body and top neck and head. The backside of the neck is african mahogany.
The joint between the neck and the sides of the body have been rubbed.
And the backside of the neck is sanded roughly.
Just for the picture, I mounted the Schaller machine heads.
Ward, je (vader) hebt gelijk. Ik zal het (trachten) nooit meer te doen. Alhoewel ik erop let dat ze steeds op een zachte ondergrond ligt. Maar dat mag geen excuus zijn…

ik betrap je al in twee foto’s dat je schaven plat op je werktafel staan. m’n vader ( ex schrijnwerker ) leerde me dat je een schaaf steeds op haar zij moet leggen wil je de snede niet bot maken …
