Day 40 is another happy day: after the successful second glue-session, the body of this new sitar is complete. This one I baptise SAS-01, Semi Acoustic Sitar.
The soundboard is completely made out of walnut, the neck and head are made of honduras mahony, with top and bottom of walnut.
The joint between the neck and the sides of the body has been rubbed very smooth.
And the backside of the neck was sanded round.
The Schaller tuning-mechanics were mounted.
